Friendly Fridays
Fridays 9:30 – 11:30 am

Come join a friendly, informal group that meets Friday mornings. There is always coffee and conversation as participants work on their own knitting,crochet or other projects. This is a great opportunity to share your work, get tips on new techniques, and make new friends. Newcomers are always welcome.

 

 

Line Dancing

Come and enjoy yourself. No partner needed. This is a fun way to
stay fit, meet new friends and dance to a great variety of music
(no classes July and August). Taught by Margaret. All levels welcome.

Lynn Valley Walkers
Mondays & Wednesdays

Get to know the parks and neighbourhoods of the North Shore walking with a sociable group and a coffee at the end. Participants should be able to walk for a minimum of one hour.

 

 

Mahjong
Mondays 1:00 – 3:30 pm

This is a learning group who have a ton of fun playing mahjong!

 

 

Munch & Mingle
Wednesdays 12:00 to 1:00 pm

Munch & Mingle every Wednesday at noon. Join friends old and new and bring a guest relative or friends of any age. The delicious soup and sandwich is prepared by a local catering company A Moveable Feast. Reservations are recommended; call Andrea @ 604-904-6483.  Cost is $2.50 for soup and $2.50 for sandwich.

 

 

Music Group
Mondays & Wednesdays 1:30 – 3:30 PM

Bring your instrument or just your voice along with your favourite music to these fun sessions. A digital piano is available on some days.

 

 

Sewing Group
Thursdays 12:00 – 3:30 pm

Bring your own sewing machine and lunch, and work on your projects in the company of others. Quilters are welcome. Contact Marie @604-987-4923 for more information.

 

 

Singing Group (commencing April 2)

Don't worry if your pipes are bit rusty, everyone is welcome. This is about fun, community and music.

Technical Training for Seniors (TTS)
Tuesdays 10:00 – 11:00 am And

Any level of expertise is welcome. TTS offers personalized one on one training taught by local high school students and peers. Receive technical support on iPad, tablet, windows 7/8, smart phone and other Apple products. $5 fee as of Sept.2018.

Better Balance With Surefeet For Adults 50+

If you have had a fall recently or are nervous about falling, then this class is for you. Rebuild balance and strength, fine tune flexibility, lower your risk of falling, and regain independence. Recommended by doctors and physiotherapists, this balance and mobility program emphasises fall and injury preventing for seniors that are the moderate to high risk for falls. PWR!4LIfe – A Parkinson’s Exercise Program

An Exercise and education program for people living with Parkinson’s. PWR!4LIfe with Surefeet is about teaching you what you can do to reach your full potential and get the most out of your life. Tai Chi & Qi Gong Wellness For Adults

Blanche Boyce, BA, Master of Medical Qi Gong, has been practicing Tai Chi for 15 years. Originally, it was practiced as a Martial Art. Today, millions of people practice the slow, graceful movements of Tai Chi for its health promoting benefits. It is known to increase flexibility, strength, mindfulness and overall health.
