Better Balance With Surefeet For Adults 50+

If you have had a fall recently or are nervous about falling, then this class is for you. Rebuild balance and strength, fine tune flexibility, lower your risk of falling, and regain independence. Recommended by doctors and physiotherapists, this balance and mobility program emphasises fall and injury preventing for seniors that are the moderate to high risk for falls. Blanche Boyce, BA, Master of Medical Qi Gong, has been practicing Tai Chi for 15 years. Originally, it was practiced as a Martial Art. Adapted, Accessible Yoga

Welcoming and supportive chair-based yoga class, open to anyone with mobility concerns.  A breath based movement class, with choices offered in everything and at your own pace.  Everyone welcome, no previous experience needed.  Caregivers welcome.

Come join a friendly, informal group that meets Friday mornings. There is always coffee and conversation as participants work on their own knitting,crochet or other projects. This is a great opportunity to share your work, get tips on new techniques, and make new friends. Newcomers are always welcome.

 

 

Line Dancing (cancelled until further notice. Check back for an update)

Come and enjoy yourself. No partner needed. This is a fun way to
stay fit, meet new friends and dance to a great variety of music
(no classes July and August). Taught by Margaret. All levels welcome.

Munch & Mingle 
Wednesdays 12:00 - 1:00 pm

Munch & Mingle every Wednesday at noon. Join friends old and new and bring a guest relative or friends of any age. The delicious soup and sandwich is prepared by a local catering company A Moveable Feast. Reservations are recommended; call Andrea @ 604-904-6483.  

Cost is $2.50 for soup and $2.50 for sandwich.

 

 

Music Group

Bring your instrument or just your voice along with your favourite music to these fun sessions. A digital piano is available on some days.

 

 

Reader's Program 
Thursdays 1:00 – 3:00 pm, June 6 to August 8 (10 weeks)

Share, as a group, some of your favourite bits and pieces that have delighted you on your journey through life—stories, poems, humorous, thought provoking, touching or deliciously descriptive passages. There is no memory work, just a prepared reading by one person or a duet or a group. your instrument or just your voice along with your favourite music to these fun sessions. A digital piano is available on some days.

Sewing Group

Any level of expertise is welcome. TTS offers personalized one on one training taught by local high school students and peers. Receive technical support on iPad, tablet, windows 7/8, smart phone and other Apple products. $5 fee as of Sept.2018.
