COVID Protocols

We know that staying active is important for our health and wellness, especially during the pandemic. That's why LVSS remains committed to providing programs and activities that comply with current provincial guidelines and have the appropriate safety protocols in place.

Before, During and After Your Class

Please follow these steps to reduce the transmission of COVID-19:

Stay home if you are sick (even just with minor symptoms)

Wash or sanitize hands directly before and after your class

Stay a minimum of 2m (6ft) from others

Avoid touching your face

Listen carefully to staff instructions and follow them closely

Avoid lingering both before and after your class

Face Masks

Participants are required to wear a face mask in all common areas.  This includes hallway, washrooms and during ALL programs and activities.

People who cannot wear a mask or who cannot put on or remove a mask without the assistance of others are exempt. A person may not be able to wear a mask for a psychological, behavioural or health condition, or due to a physical, cognitive or mental impairment. Children 2-12 years are encouraged, but not required, to wear a mask.

This additional measure supplements our current safety protocols of hand washing, facility cleaning and maintaining 2 metres physical distancing. We appreciate your cooperation in wearing your mask as we work together to stay safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although LVSS has implemented a COVID-19 Safety Plan and related health and safety measures, COVID-19 is a highly infectious disease, and there is an inherent risk of exposure in any place where people are gathered in groups of any size, and this risk cannot be eliminated.  Notwithstanding LVSS’ COVID-19 Safety Plan and related health and safety measures, by participating in any LVSS program, participants accept the risk that they may be exposed to, and contract COVID-19.
